BR-CL-11 error

BR-CL-11 means a party's registration identifier uses a scheme code that isn't on the official ISO 6523 ICD list.

What this rule checks

Explanation

A party's registration identifier (e.g. the seller's or buyer's company registration number) must state which official coding scheme it uses, via a Scheme identifier drawn from the ISO 6523 ICD list (for example "0002" for the French SIRENE registry, or "0060" for D&B D-U-N-S numbers). This rule fires when that scheme identifier is missing or isn't one of the officially recognized ISO 6523 codes.

How to fix it

Set the registration identifier's scheme attribute to the correct ISO 6523 ICD code for whichever registry issued the number — French companies most commonly use "0002" (SIRENE); check your invoicing software's settings if the wrong code is being generated automatically.
